Educational Qualification for Indian Coast Guard Jobs 2022:
Yantrik:- Matriculation or equivalent and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics and Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) with 60% in aggregate
Age limit for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022:
Candidates age limit should be Between 18-22 years as on date of commencement of course. Candidates should have been born between 01 Aug 1998 to 31 Jul 2002 (Both dates inclusive) upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates.
Selection Process for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022:
Deserving candidates would be called to appear for written test. The candidates qualifying written test will undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and initial Medical Examination. The select list will be prepared from the candidates who qualify in all respects depending up on the available vacancies.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
- 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes.
- 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak).
- 10 Push ups.
Medical Standards:
Minimum height 157 cms, Chest. Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms, Weight. Proportionate to height and age +10% acceptable, Hearing. Normal, Fitness Level. No Cardio-vascular disease, Visual Standards. 6/24 without glasses and 6/9 & 6/12 with glasses for Better Eye and Worse Eye respectively.

Pay & Allowances:
On joining Indian Coast Guard, you will be placed in Basic pay 29200/- (Pay Level-5). In addition, you will be paid Yantrik pay @ Rs.6200/- plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/ place of posting as per the prevailing regulations enforced time-to-time.
Promotion:
Promotion prospects exist upto the rank of Pradhan Sahayak Engineer with pay scale Rs. 47600/- plus Yantrik pay @ Rs. 6200/-with Dearness Allowance. Promotion to the next Rank and Officer cadre is subject to suitability and performance.
