Educational Qualification for Indian Coast Guard Jobs 2024:
General Duty:– Candidates who have passed Bachelor’s degree from any recognised university, Mathematics and Physics as subject upto Intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics.
The candidates who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible
Technical (Engineering & Electrical): Engineering/ Electrical Branch Engineering degree with 60% marks in aggregate or Should have passed Sections A and B examination from the Institution of Engineers (India)
Age limit for Indian Coast Guard Jobs 2024:
For General Duty: 21-25 years as on 01 Jul 2024 i.e. born between 01 Jul 1999 & 30 Jun 2003 (Both dates inclusive).
For Technical (Mechanical): 21-25 years as on 01 Jul 2024 i.e. born between 01 Jul 1999 & 30 Jun 2003 (Both dates inclusive). (05 Years relaxation for personnel serving in Coast Guard)
For Technical (Engineering & Electrical): 21-25 years as on 01 Jul 2024 i.e. born between 01 Jul 1999 & 30 Jun 2003 (Both dates inclusive). (05 Years relaxation for personnel serving in Coast Guard)
Selection Process for Indian Coast Guard Jobs Recruitment 2024:
Short Listing of Applications: Short listing criteria will be based on higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and the qualifying cut off for a particular branch or centre may be increased more than 60% if more applications with higher % are received.
Preliminary Selection: The selection of Assistant Commandants is based on an all India
order of merit which is based on the performance of candidates in various stages (I – V) of
examination.
Final Selection: The candidates who qualify Preliminary Selection will be called for Final Selection

GD, Tech (Engg/ Elect):- Stage-I- Apr 24, Stage-II- May 24, Stage-III- Jun-Aug 24, Stage-IV- Jun-Nov 24 , Stage-V- End Dec 24
Medical Standards:
Minimum height 157 cms, Chest. Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms, Weight. Proportionate to height and age +10% acceptable, Hearing. Normal, Fitness Level. No Cardio-vascular disease, Visual Standards. 6/24 without glasses and 6/9 & 6/12 with glasses for Better Eye and Worse Eye respectively.
